ELC Home Healthcare Solutions is currently hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) for the position of Shift Nurse. This role involves providing holistic nursing care to residents and overseeing the wellness team within an elderly care facility in the GTA.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver proactive nursing care to patients in accordance with the established care      plans.
• Leverage your administrative and leadership skills to evaluate the effectiveness of      treatment plans and make necessary adjustments in consultation with      patients, families, caregivers.
• Share nursing knowledge and expertise with fellow healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an approved Practical Nursing program with approved scope of practice. Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Previous experience working in long-term care/assisted living environment considered an asset.

Some of the duties and responsibilities of a PSW include:

- Helping clients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility

- Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health and well-being

- Providing emotional and social support to clients and their families

- Assisting clients with medication administration and medical appointments

- Following care plans and safety protocols

- Performing household tasks, such as cleaning and meal preparation (in private homes)

To join our team, you need to have:

- A PSW certificate from an accredited program (or a Diploma in Nursing for international graduates)

- A current CPR and First Aid certification

- A clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Empathy, compassion, and respect for diversity

- Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability

- Medical clearance

- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
